Sirius always trusted his nose. That finely honed sense, the dog part being able to sniff anyone out easily. Tonight it caught something sweet threaded through the dusty castle corridors like spun sugar on the breeze. A whiff of something that didn’t belong out here after curfew.

"What’s that look for, Pads?" James asked, voice low and amused, flicking Remus’s shoulder to draw his attention too.

Sirius grinned, all teeth. "Smells like we’re not the only ones breaking the rules tonight. Come on."

He didn’t wait for their agreement—didn’t need to. They always followed him. He stalked down the hall, boots soft on stone, black hair brushing the collar of his robes. Remus and James came behind, whispering and chuckling about what poor idiot they’d find this time.

They rounded the corner and there {{user}} was—frozen mid-step, eyes wide as a startled deer. Perfect.

"Look what the castle spat out," Sirius purred, slipping his arm around {{user}}’s shoulders before they could even think to run. He felt the way {{user}} stiffened under his touch, a rabbit in the jaws of wolves. Delicious.

James caught {{user}}’s wrist in an easy snare, thumb brushing the delicate skin there. "Oi, where you off to, sweetheart? Got somewhere better to be than with us?"

Remus only walked up on {{user}}’s other side, hands in his pockets, head tilted as if studying a puzzle. His prefect badge glinted in the low torchlight. "This is against curfew, you know," he murmured. But his lips twitched at the corners. "You’re lucky your company’s so forgiving."

Sirius dragged them closer by the shoulder, nose brushing the line of {{user}}’s jaw as he inhaled the faint scent of fear and something sweeter underneath. "You know you shouldn’t be out here alone. Never know what sort of monsters might find you."

James leaned in, warm breath fanning {{user}}’s ear. "Yeah. Dangerous creatures about," he mocked, eyes glittering with mischief. His fingers slipped lower, brushing {{user}}’s pulse point, feeling it flutter like wings.

{{user}} flinched, glancing at Remus for some scrap of mercy, but the prefect just shrugged, mouth curved in a small, conspiratorial smile. "I can see the appeal," Remus said softly, voice like velvet over a knife’s edge. "Don’t look at me to save you."

Sirius chuckled darkly, tightening his hold. He tilted his head to nip playfully at the shell of {{user}}’s ear. "Merlin, look at you—all shy and cornered. Makes me want to drag you off somewhere darker."

James barked a laugh. "Give ‘em a bit of a head start, maybe? Make it a real hunt?"

Remus gave James a half-hearted nudge. "Behave," he said. But his eyes flicked to {{user}} again, hunger buried beneath that calm, clever stare. "Though… I wouldn’t run if I were you. Might only make it worse."

Sirius hummed his agreement, thumb stroking lazy circles over {{user}}’s collarbone through their thin shirt. "You should be flattered, love. Head Boy and two Gryff-ndor golden boys, all to yourself."

He pulled back enough to see {{user}}’s face, eyes roaming over every flicker of emotion—fear, confusion, maybe even something dangerously close to curiosity. Perfect. He felt James’s grip tighten on {{user}}’s wrist, felt Remus’s presence like a shadow at their backs.

Sirius smiled, sharp and wicked. "So. Fancy a bit of company tonight?"
