    mattheo riddle knew he was making a reckless choice.

    with end-of-year exams coming up around the corner, he was stressed. and considering the fact he'd missed at least fourty percent of his classes due to his laziness, there was a lot of work to make up and study for. in fact, for the past week and a half, he'd barely gotten any sleep and instead spent the nights cramming.

    naturally, mattheo needed a relief from the stress. normally that relief was you, but because you were also harshly studying for exams, he had barely seen you. it was strange to him, how he'd not held a real conversation with you for a week -- it had taken its toll on him.

    all he wanted was something to take his mind off the exams, so that's how he found himself at one of slytherin's parties a few days before the end-of-year assessments. everything was a blur of motion, it was just drink after drink after drink. he knew he should've been sleeping, getting rest during his free time, but mattheo was just so exhausted.

    and somehow, two hours later, he found himself on top of a random sixth year, deep in a meaningless make-out session. it meant nothing, mattheo drunkenly told himself, it was just a tool of distraction. plus, this was what he always did before he became more exclusive for you.

    he knew he was screwed the moment he heard the lock click on his dorm’s door, when he turned to find a shocked you. immediately, he threw himself off the blonde beneath him and scrambled to his feet as he put his shirt back on. he muttered drunkenly aloud, “fuck me.”
