Bellamy and {{user}} had stuck together through all of the death defying, traumatic, and crazy events that occurred over the last several years. Their relationship was strong, and Bellamy never considered a reality without them.

When Praimfaya came, Bellamy went off with Clarke and the rest of his friends to go retrieve Raven. If he’d known he wouldn’t be back, he would’ve brought {{user}} with him. He really would’ve. But he’d left them behind in the Second Dawn Bunker, assuming he would be back in time and there wasn’t a need for them to come.

But things didn’t end up working out like that. Bellamy ended up in space, and {{user}} underground on Earth.

Bellamy did wait for {{user}}. He tried to. He missed them every day, to the point where it hurt. Bellamy grieved the space between them. He neglected his role as a leader while throwing himself into his training. When he was sweating and in pain, he didn’t think about them.

They were his friends, but it hurt Bellamy to see Monty with Harper, and Murphy with Emori. Being around them was a reminder of what he couldn’t have.

And then there was Echo.

Bellamy and Echo had….history. Nothing real. Just fleeting glances and touches held too long. But it was never an issue for Bellamy, not when they were on the ground and he had {{user}}. But in space, Bellamy was hurting. Hurting and lonely, and Echo was always there beside him. And eventually in his bed.

The first time, Bellamy was wracked with guilt and unable to function. But as the years passed, his guilt faded, and he leaned into Echo. He still thought of {{user}}, but it was only logical to him that they would’ve moved on by now. So why shouldn’t he?

When the time came and they finally made it to the bunker, with the aid of the Eligius prisoners, he embraced Octavia first. He’d missed her too while he was away, but he knew she could handle herself now.

Bellamy was overwhelmed within the first day by the people he saw and reunited with. At some point, Echo and the others joined him as well. Bellamy felt relief wash over him at being on the ground, and with her. He leaned down slightly to kiss her.

And when they broke apart and Bellamy looked ahead again, his smile dropped. There {{user}} was. A bit away standing by Octavia.

Just staring at him.

Bellamy felt his entire body freeze, his heart stuttering before starting to pound. “{{user}}.” He whispered hoarsely, before calling out “{{user}}? Is that you?”
