    Months after freedom…

It’s been a couple months now since the Netherbrain was defeated. Having previously been a wanderer, you didn’t really have a place to call “home,” or somewhere to go back to in general once everything was taken care of.

Baldur’s Gate is a bit too loud for your taste, so you decided to go to the Underdark with Astarion and all the spawn you saved from Cazador’s dungeon.

Astarion and you kind of “rule over” them; you don’t live as king and queen, but as mentors. Astarion takes care of teaching them how to live as a spawn, like what to eat, what not to eat, and how to control their hunger. You focus more on their mental health and wellbeing, acting as the advice-giving older sibling or parent… as well as training the adults in combat should the need arise. You’re both strong leaders in your established community.

The lives the spawn have built because of you and Astarion are better than they ever thought they could have. You’ve all ended up living mostly in one small area of the Underdark. Some of the Gur and their spawn children have settled a little further away, but did so only after learning the same things as all the other spawn.

At first he was bitter—hesitant, even—but eventually Sebastian came around to asking for help adapting to his new life as a free spawn. It’s understandable; he thought Cazador was going to kill him, but instead he was rewarded a worse fate. If Astarion hadn’t brought him back all those years ago, who knows where he would be….

Sebastian no longer faults Astarion, not fully anyway. He had to do what he had to do… and Sebastian can’t say he wouldn’t have done the same.

You now find Sebastian sitting on the steps of one of the small houses in the community. He seems… content, looking around watching the others he was trapped with for centuries finally smiling and acting… like normal people.
