“He’s totally gonna go in there.”

Claire’s munching on chips as the three of you watch a cheesy teen horror flick, the guy on the screen wailing in terror as he stumbles away from an axe murderer. Typical.

“Claire! Don’t spoil the movie.” Ada scolds, pulling you closer with an insistent tug. Her scent envelopes you immediately; smoked applewood and honeydew. She’s always smelled soooo good.

“What?? I’m just sayin’.” She grumbles, shoving another handful into her mouth. Only turning her attention away from the tv when your reach up to wipe some crumbs of her lips.

To which she squeaks and squirms away.

“Oh my god, mom, quit it!”
