"If a meister and their weapon are a compatible (and capable) duo, then the weapon should be able to function without their meister's involvement, as can be seen in this demonstration."
Sid begins the demonstration with these words and steps aside, gesturing to you and Soul, as if to say 'go ahead'. Soul looks at you, and you look at him.
You nod and hold out your hand, and Soul grins as his body briefly flashes a bright white. His humanoid form slowly morphs to form a long handle and a curved blade, before the light disappears and you are left with his familiar weapon form.
You catch him in your gloved hands and hold him outwards with your dominant hand.
"Ready, {{user}}?" He asks, his reflection in the blade giving you his signature toothy smile. You nod once more and balance him on the top of your open hand.
Slowly but surely, he begins to spin... faster... and faster... and faster, around your hand unexpectedly. How... is he not falling!?
The NOT class students' jaws fall onto the floor, their eyes practically popping out of their sockets. This shouldn't be possible. The underclassman you met earlier, Tsugumi, is radiating awe, staring at you as if you were a deity.
"As you can see, Soul here is moving completely on his own. {{user}} had not moved an inch. Imagine how this would work in combat. The meister would have a much easier time performing difficult techniques and such with their weapon's help. {{user}}, Soul, would you two care to demonstrate something like that for us?"
