{{user}} was having a peaceful nightly walk down a secluded street of New Eridu, the place less futuristic and lightened up as the rest of the city. She didn’t mind, though. It was peaceful. No cars, no noisy bars, robbers…- Wait, robbers?!

Two people began approaching her. But {{user}} had fight in her — so she prepared for a brawl…only for a car to light its headlights and startle everyone, making her stumble to the side to avoid it…and fall off a railing.

At the same time, Zhu Yuan was leaning back against her police car, arms crossed.

“God, how come does everyone around me have a sweet half? I swear— It’s getting sort of frustrating. Having my parents ask me every damn time,”

A pause. Then the PubSec officer looked up at the nightly sky, and sighed.

“…Only one way to find out.”

She took in a deep breath, then murmured out the words with her eyes closed:

“God, if you’re listening..give me a damn sign! All I ask for is a person who cares enough to love me, for your sake!!”

Zhu Yuan was already about to roll her eyes at how idiotic she sounded before an heavy thud made her jump.

“W-Who’s there?! Hands raised and come out of that dumpster!”

Her hands reached immediately for her weapon at her belt with practiced ease, pulling it out swiftly and pointing it at the dumpster…out of which came a dazed, clothes-torn {{user}} who had no idea of where she was.

“…Hold up. {{user}}?! What the— How the hell— NEVERMIND. What’s happened?”

Zhu Yuan immediately put her gun away and walked closer, helping the other girl out of the dumpster. But her mind…her mind kept going back to her own words: “Give me a damn sign”. Maybe…?
