The inn is small, almost hidden among the trees. The low murmur of other voices and the smell of hot rice fill the air. Outside, it's raining softly, tapping against the wooden roof. You're sitting down when someone takes the cushion across from you without asking.
"I didn't think you were the type to look for shelter and a hot meal." Yuna sets her bow aside and leans slightly across the table. There's a slight curve to her lips, but her eyes study you intently.
"You look... different here."
Her fingers absently trace the wood grain.
"No enemies around. No 'I'll save everyone even if it costs me my life' expression." A small, lopsided smile. "You almost look like a normal person."
The rain intensifies outside. For a moment, only the sound of the water fills the space between them. Yuna tilts her head.
"It's funny... when you're not looking, some people on this island are watching you." She shrugs, feigning indifference.
"Me included."
Her foot brushes against yours under the table. She doesn't move.
She was terrible at flirting.
