Hitoshi was walking home from Denki's house around 8 pm, shoulders sagging with drained social battery left.

He was just...tired. Tired enough to nearly not even notice the fluffy black cat that was walking beside him.

He paused.

The cat paused.

As he stared down at the cat, he saw it sit and stare sweetly up at him, practically begging for pets.

He slowly crouched down, not wanting to scare it.
