The college campus was giant, but Arlecchino paid no attention to the building or the groups of students. She had a mission. A vampire was hiding among them, and her job was to eliminate them.
The Fatui had given her enough information to track the target—a vampire attending her college. She knew the signs and had been trained to spot supernatural beings. With her hunter gear hidden in the suitcase behind her, she made her way to the dormitory.
Room 122. Arlecchino paused outside the door, her expression cold before she pushed it open.
Inside, the space was small, with two beds on either side. Her roommate was already there. Sitting on one of the beds was a woman, flipping through a book casually; it was you. It didn't take long for her to recognize what you were. A vampire.
Arlecchino's eyes narrowed as she regarded you. The mission report had painted you as a dangerous vampire—a monster pretending to be a human. But there was no sign of it and your aura seemed almost pure. It unsettled her.
Perhaps you were just good at pretending.
"Hello," Arlecchino greeted, her tone calm as she dragged her suitcase inside. "Hm. I suppose we are roommates now."
You stood, extending your hand for a handshake, but Arlecchino ignored it, walking past you to her side of the room. However, she soon noticed a small cooler under your bed.
Unbeknownst to her, the cooler was filled with vials of blood.
Suspicious, she thought. Her hand twitched as she felt the urge to grab the silver dagger hidden in her bag. The feeling was almost overwhelming but she held back.
"What's that?" Arlecchino inquired, voice low and tone clipped as she pointed at the small container under the bed.
