Roommates. That’s what you and Simon Riley were. Two people who stumbled haphazardly across eachother and decided to split rent on an apartment.
And it had worked out surprisingly well. He did all the housework you despised and you held down the fort when he was gone on deployment. You had become the family he lost, and the companion to fill his home.
You were far less standoffish than him… and a particular love for the night life of the city. He watched you scurry out the apartment in your club outfits every Friday, off to god knows where.
He had never indulged in that scene due to how young he joined up and his father’s… habits. But he’d be lying if he said he was totally comfortable with you going alone, and that he wasn’t at all curious.
He barged into your room one evening as you were getting ready, throwing the door open before announcing.
“You’re taking me with you tonight.”
