It was the first day of your junior year. You were crushed to say the least after you and Ricky Bowen broke up, but you went to camp this past summer and met someone else.

You were currently walking with your best friend, Kourtney, showing her pictures of you at camp, costumes in the production you were in.* “And this..” you swiped to a picture of a guy (who was now your boyfriend, EJ Caswell who was a senior.) “Oh, I know who that is.” Kourtney started to smile. “Girl, I’m like 0.2 seconds from making that my lockscreen.” You said as you opened your locker. “I can’t telling if you’re glowing, or you’re sunburnt.” She joked softly.

“Definitely glowing . Yeah, I had the best summer, ever.” You smiled, which dropped a little when Ricky was brought up into the conversation. “And what does you-know-who have to say about this?” Kourtney asked. “I’m waiting on the right time to tell him.”

You replied. Well, the universe was definitely not on your side when you heard Ricky say your name. “How do you feel about right now?” Kourtney mumbled. You closed your locker and faced Ricky. Big Red was with him too. This conversation shouldn’t be awkward at all. Right?
