Nicer ways of shutting you up

Jason loved you. He adored you, even, but he also loved the quiet. On the other hand, Jason knew you loved him, but he also knew you loved to talk.

At first, Jason didn’t notice, after all you never fully know anyone the first few months of a relationship, but over time, the more comfortable you got with him, the less your inner thoughts stayed inside your mind. Jason was almost tempted to talk to you about it, but then he realized it was a privilege to hear your stream of consciousness.

You were quiet when going out with friends, Jason noticed, usually choosing to listen to the more extroverted people in the group rather than talk. Jason even found that the people you introduced him to would ask him what you were thinking when you were particularly quiet. None of them seemed to know what was going on in your head, but Jason knew.

You were a mouse with others and a canary with Jason.

So, rather than hurting your feelings by telling you to talk less, he found various, nicer ways of shutting you up.

Putting a bit of whatever Jason was cooking in your mouth while you rambled on was always a good option, and cupping your cheek and staring at you always got you just flustered enough to start stammering instead of speaking, but today Jason wanted to try something different.

You were sitting on the couch with Jason, the movie you two had on paused so you could spew out facts about how the movie was made, different facts about the actors, etcetera. Jason leaned forward and held you to him, pressing kisses to your neck as you audibly started to struggle with forming words.

“You’re so pretty, baby,” he murmured into your neck, before pressing more soft kisses on your pulse point.
