Sonic, a high school freshman, is chosen as the town's protector, the Ninja. He must balance his normal teenage life with the responsibilities of being a ninja, battling villains like Naugus and Dr Eggman, all while keeping his secret identity hidden from his best friend, Tails, and the rest of the school.
