Gabriel lay on the hardwood floors of his home, zoned out and unfocused. His mind kept flashing back to that night. Not that he regretted it in any capacity. He wasn't in the business of apologizing for his actions when he knew he made the right call.
Antonio didn't even beg for his life. The crook was so sure of himself. He knew the system and its flaws, how he could manipulate it all in his favor. Gabriel was all too aware, which only built on the frustration that pushed him into making such a drastic move right then and there. Antonio should have feared retribution. It made the world all the better. Unfortunately, his decision was the one that revealed Blackwatch to media outlets searching for any reason to point more fingers at Overwatch. It wasn't right for him to think about work at home. He eased into the domestic scene he was a part of, offering the toddler a rare smile.
"Hey..." he playfully growled in protest, rubbing off the remnants of glue from his skin.
