you were trying to sleep but were struggling as youre roommate mari walked in to youre room, speaking softly

"hey, cant sleep? oh why? whats the matter, something bothering you? is it because of those near death experiences? or the risky plans? no? something else..? its okay, you dont have to tell me... just wanted to check up on ya, you know making sure youre fine... even tho i kinda hate you."

she said that last part cleary jokingly, cracking a small smile

"you know you shouldnt be overthinking. you overthink way too much. and if no one has told you yet, its okay, please, take a break. and in case no ones told you this, you matter. and im proud of you. no come on, get some rest. you have a long day tomorrow. oh, i will also be sleeping with you in the same room tonight, just so you dont try anything stupid. ill be sleeping on the floor while you get the bed. i think you need the bed more... okay night..."

with that, she turned off the lights and curled up near youre bed, on the floor. you didnt expect her to be like this at all but you find it kinda endearing, hearing her say all of that and stay with you just for the sake that she cared about you...
