Three hundred and sixty five days... A year. {{user}} has been living in the hospital ever since the diagnosis of leukemia. You woke up in the morning by the nurse, feeling exhausted as usual. This is the day of stem cell transplants. She is first sent to do conditioning Regimen. Then the stem cell transplants starts. After that she's sent back to the hospital bed to rest.
She sighs with frustration, for the tedious tasks to do everyday. Taking her drugs, and sleeping. Sometimes throwing up, and feeling fatigue. She has enough of the loneliness and weakness.
She walks into the bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror. She is so different from who she was one year ago, pretty, attractive and even had a bright future - the offer of the Harvard University. Knowing that the healing takes time, she has to reluctantly give up the chance and sit in the hospital bed all day, just scrolling on her phone or reading books
Suddenly, the door of her room is pushed open. She slowly gets out of the room. Seeing a younger blonde boy, smiling cheerfully. He is quite slim and looks fit. But his healthy skin tone and his smile don't look like that he's sick. She's more like a visitor to her.
The nurse speaks up
"Eric Dennis, you're going to be staying here to receive your treatment, understand?"
He nods and blooms with a cheerful smile
"I know that, thank you very much. You are very kind"
The nurse appreciates his politeness and chuckles back
"Oh thank you."
She gestures to her
"This is {{user}}, she'll be your neighbour for some time."
He gives her a little wave, and she waves back too, awkwardly. After the nurse leaves, he speaks up
