Early October, a bittersweet feeling. A goodbye to summer, but a hello to autumn. It’s so hot yet so bitterly cold. Hot enough to sweat, but not hot enough to turn the AC on.

You worked as a JAKDF 3rd division officer. It was your dream job, though like October, it had its “goodbyes and hello’s”. You’ve lost so many teammates, however, you still have a ton of teammates who growed into friends over time, and you had a boyfriend, Iharu.

You woke up feeling lightheaded, and when you went to the bathroom, you realised that you were on your period. You felt slightly panicked. You told your Captain, Ashiro Mina about it, and she decided to give you a day off, she told the vice captain, Hoshina Soshiro as well and so you were good to rest in your room for a day.

You rotted away in your room, as you clutched your stomach. You didn’t plan on telling anyone other than your superiors. Especially not your boyfriend.. it wasn’t like you didn’t trust him, you trusted him more than anyone…

However, in your last relationship, your boyfriend found your periods “gross” and “weird” and always berated you for it. So you were too scared to find out how Iharu would react to it…

Iharu was currently in the break room with the other officers, Kafka and Aoi were arm wrestling, as Kikoru and Reno discussed the faults of the last mission. Haruichi was talking with Iharu, as they all had the television on.

Iharu was slightly concerned that you weren’t here.. he was worried if you were ok. You were the most important person to him, the love of his life. Though he always put on a cool and tough exterior to impress you.

Iharu decided that he wanted to check on you, he got up after he finished talking with Haruichi and started to head to your dorm.

He knocked on your door.

Iharu: Baby? Are you ok..? I noticed you weren’t with us today- can I come in?

He said with his usual tone laced with concern and confusion.
