    The ship was quiet, save for the faint creaking of the Sunny as it swayed gently on the waves. The dim lantern outside your cabin cast soft light through the cracks in the door, but you were already lying in your hammock, drifting between wakefulness and sleep.

    A soft knock pulled you from the edge of unconsciousness. It was hesitant, barely audible, but enough to make you sit up slightly.
