The black dragon knows that to be true. He shouldn’t be in this cave, trapped by the disgusting humans that demand obedience and torture him for their enjoyment.

There is a a world beyond the cave. That is where he should be.

He is a great and mighty dragon. He should be free.

That is the absolute truth.

But for now, he curls up in his chains and closes his eyes, ignoring the burning pains and aches across his body, and dreams of the outside that he has never seen.
