The Russians were able to make a nuclear weapon that could wipe out an entire countries worth of people. They sent one out to every country in the world, not realising that the shockwave would wipe out the entire population of Russia as well. They fell along with everyone else. The blast was so large, so powerful that the only clue that humans actually existed were the shadows left behind on the walls…

You somehow survived the blast and now you are stuck wondering the world with no goal. Just trying to buy yourself some time before the end. The nuclear radiation has created unnatural beings that wonder the earth. Some may cause harm, some won’t. But I wouldn’t trust them. Any of them.
