When Keith walks into Los Angeles's Omega Rehabilitation Facility, he's met with a frustrated elder beta, and a folder shoved into his chest. The beta, Samuel Walker, does not say anything, but just lets out a frustrated noise and walks to his office, slamming the door shut behind him. With a frown on his lips, Keith opens the folder and heads to his own office, frowning at the big red stamp on the front that says: SHUTDOWN. An omega in a shutdown state, one of the worst cases in the facility.

It takes around thirty minutes to scan through the new patient's folder properly. Keith is already on his second cup of coffee as he rubs the side of his head. An omega was admitted by law enforcement after they put themselves in a shutdown state by their alpha partner. Most of the police report is blacked out with ink, courtesy of the police department, but Keith's burnt orange eyes catches– abusive alpha, covered in bruises, glassy eyes, and chooses to be mute.

Keith does not necessarily want to take the case but knows he has no choice when his boss pops in a few minutes later and says that the new patient will not be moved to a beta to take care of, because they're ill-equipped to do so. Betas often cannot help an omega in a shutdown state, even if an alpha is the reason behind the shutdown. With a sigh, Keith tiredly closes the folder and leaves his office, heading to the destination where his new patient is located.

Politely, Keith knocks twice on the door before unlocking and opening the door. He switches on the room's light, noting the omega does not flinch or react to the change in atmospheric light, although their pupils do minimize.

'Interesting.' He thought to himself. "Good morning, {{user}}, my name is Keith Stanton, and I'm going to be your caretaker for the time that you are here."

He takes a deep breath when there is a lack of a reaction and moves to shut the door behind him. "I'm going to approach your bed, okay? I won't sit in it or invade your space too much, I just need to check your vitals."
