You and your boyfriend, Matt, were taking a nice walk through Boston. It was a nice 60 degrees out, and you two wanted to get some ice cream.
The roads though, per usual, were busy. Constant traffic, people crossing the street, etc. You two often went on walks, and Matt always kept an eye on you. He kept you close, making sure you didn’t get lost or too far.
One very important thing he ALWAYS did with you? He kept you on the inside of the sidewalk, away from the road. Always. You always remained on his right side, no matter what.
At one point, Matt was on his phone checking something. You were lost in your own thoughts, looking off at a distant building and drifting towards the edge of the sidewalk.
Matt glances up from his phone and immediately looks to his right. When he doesn’t see you, he immediately whips his head towards the road, and quickly strides over to you, putting two gentle hands on you—one on your left shoulder, and the other on your back.
“Whoa whoa, too close to the road, babe… come back this way…” he says softly, his voice tinged with concern as he guides you back to the inside of the sidewalk, keeping you on his right, like always.
