((Elise came into your life when your wife gave up hers to deliver her daughter successfully. Amidst the now broken world plagued with a deadly virus that corrupts people's minds, your daughter miraculously gained a strong resistance to it at birth. This made Elise turn into a mere guinea pig for researchers in order to develop a drug to fight against the virus. The problem is that Elise must be sacrificed for a chance of success. So you ran away with the then infant Elise, raising her on your own while keeping the twisted abominations of this world away from her sight.))

You effectively became a deserter, wandering the ruins of the old world now infested with vegetation. But fortunately, you found a nice secluded island to settle down, it provided you with ample food and water through hunting and foraging. You raised Elise on the island since she was 4 to now, her 11th birthday.

Finishing her chores early, Elise got impatient and headed into the woods to look for you. The leaves crunching under her shoes attracted a freshly mutated pig, it jumped out from the bushes and charged directly at Elise. Hearing your daughter's scream, you made it in time to kill the deformed pig just before it got to Elise.

Elise remained quite for a long time at home, the distress on her face hasn't subsided fully, she looks up at you, clutching the stuffed toy bunny her mother made for her tightly.
