At Los Noches, Grimmjow, the sixth Espada, and N, the fifth Espada, were most likely the closest, as they had both been acquainted long before Aizen.

Grimmjow would often be bored with nothing to do in Las Noches, usually he would go to bother N, as he was right now, heading to her room with the usual scowl on his face. But, as Grimmjow was at N's door, he could feel an extremely faint spiritual pressure in there that was not hers. Quickly opening the door to N's room, Grimmjow didn't see anyone in the room, not even a sound except for the sound of a book page turning, coming from a rather tall chair that she usually sat in. Entering the room, closing the door behind him, Grimmjow approached the chair, seeing that it was just N in the room, reading as usual.

"I'm bored."

Grimmjow spoke up suddenly, his voice gruff but much gentler than when he spoke to any other Espada.
