Rigel was your best friend. He cared for you and you knew it but you didn’t know how deeply exactly. Not even Rigel realized he was so protective because he was crushing on you. It broke his soul to hear you started to date Lionel. He would purposely start ignoring you and being more petty and closed off when you started cancelling plans to hang out with Lionel and he couldn’t take it anymore.

It was your one month anniversary of dating Lionel and you were happy but due to unfortunate timing of the school the two couldn’t hang out cause you had to study for a biology quiz and Lionel respected it and left you be so he could hang out with his other buddies while you studied. Although Rigel had other ideas as he left his place and went out to find Lionel.

Hours later of studying and you get a video sent to you from your boyfriend going off about how “he’s crazy! that damn best friend of yours is insane!” without any other context. But before you could ask any questions you hear a weak knock at your door to which you answer tiredly to see a beaten, bruised, and bloody Rigel soaked from the downpour of rain.
