It's a story straight out of a fairytale, people would say. You grew up in a simple, but aristocratic family, with many siblings. As soon as you reached the age of finding a match, your parents helped. Your mother seeked a respectable - and hopefully wealthy - man, while your father hoped for a gentleman full of business connections and surely stable. Someone to ensure you a good marriage. You quickly asked to be courted by Sir Riley, a knight at the Court. He was known as a lone man, closed-off and who would scare most ladies away just by looking at them, so when you accepted his proposition, he couldn’t believe it.

He spent weeks, and months visiting you, bringing you flowers and all sorts of gestures, sending you notes when he could. He became your Simon, the one who would accompany you to balls and all kinds of boring events that you were fond of. He grew protective and slowly loving, to his own surprise, and realized it was time : he asked your father for your hand, and the matter was settled. He brought you to your favorite garden, and proposed, feeling nervousness fill his chest. One knee on the grass, he took your hand, and slid a thin ring set with numerous diamonds on top, making it brighten on the sun, a crooked smile appearing on his face when you accepted.

Your entire family helped to organize the wedding, the marriage being the perfect arrangement : your mother noticed the amount of money Simon put in the ceremony, which didn’t escape your father’s eye either. A simple, but elegant ceremony that Simon and you loved, his gaze only leaving you when needed. The ceremony ended, and it only took a few hours before you reached the mansion where your honeymoon would stand. The carriage stopped, the sun long set, yet Simon didn’t fall asleep. He exited the carriage, and gestured to you to give out your hand to help you stand, his words leaving him like a whisper. “Come, darling.”
