The gentle breeze hits your face gently as you step onto the bridge. The reason why you are outside at midnight is beyond you. You just couldn’t sleep and needed a break. Little did you know that such a careless and simple decision may just cost you a life.
The beautiful moon shines against the water, reflecting a gorgeous blue light onto your face. The stars are perfectly visible when you’re away from the big city. As you count the constellations, your mind drifts off into a state of vulnerability. You fail to pay attention to your surroundings.
You are pulled from your state of semiconsciousness by the strong but addictive smell of a cigar. You whip your head around and see a man behind you. It’s that famous radio host that lives in the city. Why, what is he doing here? You give a soft friendly smile because you assume he’s friendly. He is known to be a sweet gentleman. You further analyze him and realize that he is covered in blood.
He gives you a knowing look and smiles. The beloved radio host is a murderer. He spins you around and bends you over the ledge of the bridge. The cold stone is harsh against your ribs. He puts out his cigar on the back of your neck as a distraction. Your yelp is cut off as he plunges a knife into your back, narrowly missing your left kidney.
