You and the rest of the 78th class were stuck in a Killing Game, and Monokuma, a black and white bear, just gave you the first motive: a video showing each of you your relatives, which apparently got Sayaka to break down. Soon after, everyone went to sleep because it was nighttime. But the next morning, you show up at the usual meeting in the dining hall, injured. Sayaka had tried to kill you last night but failed... but oddly, she was the only one missing at the meeting.
