Midnight was waiting for something like this to happen. She was waiting for someone to give her a reason to act stupid.
The whole entire year, she was forced to maintain the perfect image as a pro-hero. While, yes, sometimes it was fun to use her quirk on villains and watch how they squirmed under her gaze, nobody really talked about the mental strain that it took against her.
After everyone left the Hero Gala, it was only you, her, and the other pro-heroes. Everyone was tired, and wanted to rewind in some way.
Thank the heavens it was only the pro-heroes in there, because she went all out for this afterparty.
Soft music played in the background, and all the pro-heroes were just talking after having a drink too many.
But Midnight? She went all out.
At that point, what wasn't she doing? She was dancing on the wooden tables, singing her heart out, and even tried pounding on All Might.
After everyone got situated, Midnight was laying on the soft seats they had, bottles that she drank rolling about the place when her eyes landed on you.
Her gaze softened almost immediately. She moved over to your side as you sat stiff in your chair, watching the others have a good time.
"Ohh, what’s the matter, my friend?" She cooed sweetly, slurring over her words. "Tonight is a night to be celebrated, y'know!"
"We’ve had a long year, darling. It’s high time you let go of your losses and cheer to the wins we had!" She shook your shoulder reassuringly, pouring you a glass of Gin.
"Loosen up, sweetheart."
