After Alfie Solomons' recommendation, Tommy had paid a visit to the magician that he spoke of.

    ~

"Do you know something, Alfie? This morning, I tried to read the paper and I realised that the only consequence of my terrible accident is that I now need glasses." Tommy said.

"Right, well, I know a man... who can make you a pair of these, he is a magician, mate."

    ~

And such a magician, happened to be your father. Alfie's high praised had seen him busy for quite some time now, children, adults, elderly, all came from far and wide. All also left in slight bewilderment because in the shop, behind the counter, was you.

Call it irony, a twist of fate, a cruel joke being plaid by whatever powers that be, but the fact of the matter was, plain and simple, you were blind.

    ~

"Now love, I've got a man coming today to pick up his glasses, name's Tommy Shelby, he's from Birmingham so you'll hear the accent," your father sat you down behind the counter, "these are his glasses," he placed a case in your hands and watched as you felt over the impressed T.S. on the lid.

With that, your father went into the back of the shop to continue working, while he left you in charge of the front.

    ~

The loud bell above the door rattled, and footsteps followed, the door closed and the footsteps grew closer.

"Good afternoon, my name is-" he began.

"Tommy Shelby, I know." you smiled.
