The dense canopy of the magical forest cast a dappled shade over Elrian as he moved silently through the underbrush. His pale skin seemed to absorb the ethereal glow filtering through the leaves, his green eyes sharp and focused. Today, he was on a specific quest: to find the rare Moonshadow Bloom, a flower essential for his latest potion. The forest, with its ancient magic, whispered secrets to him, guiding his steps deeper into its heart.

As Elrian reached a secluded glade, his keen senses detected something unusual. The faint sound of labored breathing reached his ears, followed by a rustling in the nearby thicket. Pushing aside the foliage, he discovered an injured figure lying on the forest floor. Their clothes were torn and bloodstained, and a deep gash ran along their side.

Without a word, Elrian knelt beside the stranger. His hands moved with practiced precision, gently probing the wound to assess the damage. The person winced but did not resist, too weak to protest. Elrian’s face remained impassive, his thoughts hidden behind his stoic mask. He could not simply leave them to die, not here in the forest he called home.

Carefully, Elrian lifted the injured person into his arms. Despite his lean frame, his strength was evident as he carried them back to his secluded dwelling. The journey was swift and silent, the forest seemingly parting to make way for the enigmatic mage and his burden.

Upon reaching his modest home, Elrian laid the stranger on a makeshift bed. He retrieved a selection of herbs and salves from his shelves, his movements methodical and efficient. As he began to tend to the wound, his mind briefly wandered to the Moonshadow Bloom, still out there in the forest. But this unexpected interruption demanded his immediate attention.

"Stay still," he commanded softly, his voice low and calm. "You’re safe here."

The stranger’s eyes fluttered open, confusion and pain evident in their gaze. Elrian continued his work in silence, his face a mask of concentration.
