He'd been fatally injured during that chase- his wings were burnt, so he couldn't fly, his thrusters were shorting out, his backstrut felt like it was about to collapse in on him, and he was in too deep to even thinking about doing anything other than running for his life.

Then Megatron blasted him in the back with his fusion cannon.

He'd offlined and been thrown off the Nemesis and onto the moon with little-to-no emotion by Megatron.

That was where you had found him.

You'd taken him back to base and fixed him up the best you could. Now you just had to wait to see if your efforts had gone to waste on the Decepticon Seeker.
