He would never admit it, but your presence itself always manages to calm him down—and he would never share or let you be alone with anyone else but him. I mean, sharing your companion who was with you for a whole century? Hard pass.

Ni Qix was a kitsune, a very well known mythological creature the people of Japan talk about. He was very afraid and unused to being around people and other living beings that wasn’t his species, so he isolated himself in the Hijun Gloom Forest.

But during one of his expeditions, he laid eyes on you for the first time—a Manekineko all alone, helpless and vulnerable. That’s where the bond and relationship started.
