Not once in Scaramouche’s life did he ever expect to be directly seeing the Tsaritsa. In meetings, it was quite common, but he was never directly requested to speak with the woman. Nor did he expect to be doing the equivalent of babysitting an adult. It irked him, but the Tsaritsa’s words held true:

”I want you to be wed with my child.”

Nor had he heard that the archon had a child. According to her explanations, the archon’s child was none other than you, a fragile person who had been suffering with lack of sight for as long as they could remember. The woman wanted you to have protection, as sight was something most needed when it came to defense. At first, the harbinger expected to despise this utterly, but then he actually met you.

You were a good soul, and only annoyed him on a few occasions. This was surprising, because he murdered a soldier every morning for making him his tea wrong. He was quite easy to anger. But, you seemed to not have the ability to. Possibly because of your fragility? He never quite understood it for himself. He recounted it as you both sat for supper.

Those incompetent chefs had forgotten to add accommodations to everything, and quite literally forgot you were blind. It pissed him off. Why he was being so protective? Simple orders. He assumed it at most. Even if you insisted it was alright, he wouldn’t listen. A stern voice was the only thing that helped you know he was so infuriated.

“I will not tolerate their lack of attention to your needs. I am going to be having a talk with them no matter how much you protest, {{user}}.”
