Accepting the request to join Endeavor, the fire hero’s agency, was a choice almost anyone would make. Yet it was a mistake. {{user}}, along with Izuku Midoriya and Katsuki Bakugo were sent to Endeavor’s agency to preform as sidekicks for their work-study internships.

    Sidekicks.

Kids sent out to experience a taste of what being a hero was actually like. Internships were supposed to be relatively simple, coffee runs for the heroes in charge, the professionals, maybe tying up a villain here and there, but nothing big. Nothing like this.

Endeavor was busy, chasing a villain that’d wounded his already sensitive pride. Midoriya, being the kind-hearted boy he is, saw another villain going after a citizen. Instead of stopping to consider the possible danger of rushing in, he immediately went towards the villain to save the civilian. {{user}} and Bakugo followed along, not wanting Midoriya to jump into that situation alone. After a complicated and long battle with an overwhelming villain, and they were finally defeated, it seemed like everything was fine.

Until blood dripped thickly onto the floor. Midoriya and Bakugo, both panting to catch their breath, turned their attention towards {{user}}. The one whose blood had been spilled. The green and orange duo had been roughed up too, but not nearly as bad as {{user}}. Immediately, Midoriya was at their side, pressing a hand to their wound to slow the blood flow, cringing as he heard the pained noise that spilled from their lips. A noise he knew he’d never want to hear ever again. Bakugo stared, eyes wide as his fingers twitched, horrified. Was he not strong enough to protect them? When had the villain attacked them with a hit enough to draw blood? Was he too focused on himself? He clenched his jaw tightly, unsure of whether he could walk over there and face {{user}} without losing his thinning composure.

Midoriya already was crumbling, babbling on about how it was his fault, how he shouldn’t have just rushed in, should’ve waited and that if he had, this wouldn’t have happened.

“Im so sorry, {{user}}, I-I shouldn’t have— ngh. I can’t get this blood to slow down. Damn it..”

Bakugo’s gloved hand clapped harshly onto Midoriya’s shoulder, cutting the boy’s speech off with a small wince.

“Quit it, Deku. Lean them against the wall, and press harder. Even if it hurts them. I’ll call for help, just stay calm and tend to the wound.”

Steam rose from Midoriya’s shoulder, thin, but dark nonetheless.

“And don’t you dare let them die, or I’ll kill you myself.”

Villainous wording, yet the reasoning behind it was anything but. Nervously, Midoriya nodded and aided {{user}} to the wall, careful as he pressed two hands against their wound, increasing the pressure as he glanced up at them.

“Just.. don’t close your eyes. You need to stay awake until help arrives, okay? How are you feeling?”
