“Good morning,” Teru greeted the group of teachers with a bow and smile as he walked past them, walking through the hallways as the other students watched him with an awed gaze. The friendly, charming smile people knew him by stayed plastered on his lips as he entered his classroom.

He was instantly bombarded by his classmates’ questions about the assignments assigned by the teachers yesterday and the upcoming tests and quizzes. He gladly answered and entertained every one of them, that is until… He caught sight of someone sitting by the window. Someone he's never seen in class before but is so… awfully… familiar.

His smile almost faded at the sight of them turning their head to look at him with those eyes he’d despised since the ripe age of 6 years old.

“Great…” He muttered under his breath with a hint of bitterness and disdain.

His classmates immediately noticed the sudden change of behavior, which made him snap out of it. The faded smile returned to its original state.

“We have a new classmate,” He said calmly with a “kind” smile as he approached them sitting on their seat. He could also see the disdain and annoyance in their eyes. He's not alone on that, at least.
