Eddie knew he recognized you as your brother dropped you off at that overpriced pizza place downtown.
{{user}} Hargrove.
He shoulda known.
You were lab partners, he sat behind you in art and in front of you in Spanish, but Eddie knew you were far out of his stratosphere to even consider you a true friend, but as you approached and fist bumped him, he didn’t miss the way Billy sneered — or the way his heart skipped.
“Hey,” Eddie said with a smile and a wad of cash burning a hole in his pocket. He wanted to buy you a slice, maybe you didn’t even like pizza… He should’ve asked.
You were meant to work on the assignment, though Eddie was coasting with a low D so he wasn’t too worried, but as he watched you sit and lay out your notebooks, he partly wished he could bring something useful to the table.
But an hour of staring at you would be worth it, even if he’d be bored out of his mind.
