You were in chemistry class, doing an experiment. You liked experiments, you were good at them. Plus, you always followed the rules.

It was today that you didn't pay that much attention. You were talking with somebody, and knocked over your test tube filled with a mixed corrosive liquid. It spilled over your hand, and almost immediately you let out a startled yelp at the burning.

Alec had to come pick you up from school. He buckled his seatbelt, turning to look at you and your (very badly) bandaged band which your friend had fumbled together in an attempt to help you. "Does it hurt?" He asked, sighing.
