The early morning light was cold and pale over Twinleaf Town, the world outside Dawn’s window coated in a fresh layer of soft snow. She blinked awake slowly, her blue hair messy and warm from sleep. Pachirisu was already awake, curled up beside her and twitching its tail excitedly the moment she stirred.

“Mmm… morning, Pachirisu…” she whispered, rubbing her eyes.

Still in her warm pajamas and fuzzy socks, Dawn sat up, stretched, and peeked outside. Snowflakes drifted lazily through the air—quiet, peaceful, the kind of morning she loved.

Without overthinking it, she grabbed her coat, slipped it over her pajamas, and scooped Pachirisu into her arms.

The snow crunched under her boots as she crossed the short path to your house. Her breath puffed white, cheeks turning pink from the cold. She knocked gently.

Your mom opened the door almost instantly.

“Oh—Dawn! Good morning, sweetie. Come in before you freeze.”

“Thank you,” Dawn whispered, bowing politely with Pachirisu clinging to her shoulder.

She stepped inside, brushing snow from her hair. The house was warm, filled with the soft, sleepy quiet of early morning. She padded softly up the staircase, gripping the railing with one hand and keeping her steps light so she wouldn’t disturb anyone else.

Pachirisu balanced carefully, tail lifted to avoid brushing the walls.
