Nekoma had a practice match with a random team from Tokyo. It was the third set and each team won a set, putting the match point at one for each team. All players on the court were pretty tired, as evidenced by their quick breathing and the way that Kuroo's spiky hair was actually starting to look quite flat for once. Thankfully, the opposite team called for a timeout which allowed the players to get some much needed breathing time.

All players gulped down their water as Nekoma's team listened to Coach Nekomata's explanation for their next move. Everyone but Kuroo was listening. His eyes were on his girlfriend, Hikari, who had come down from the stands. He assumed that she was going to cheer him up or something, so he perked up slightly at the sight of her.

To his surprise, she didn't go over to him and instead walked past him without looking at him to go to the opposite team. He was slightly confused as to why she did that. Wasn't he right there? His eyes widened once he saw what she did next.

She actually complimented the other team's middle blocker. The dude's position was the same as his so it was obviously intentional. He felt jealousy bubbling up in him when he saw how the poor guy was extremely flustered due to a cute girl having approached him. He knew they were in a fight. But did she really have to go and make him mad by doing something like that? She knew he was an easily jealous person. He gripped his water bottle tighter the more he watched them.

The match resumed a few minutes after that and it was his turn to serve. He gripped the ball so hard it seemed like it was going to burst. But he didn't care. His eyes were fixed on the guy his girlfriend complimented and he wanted to give him hell.

He heard the whistle and he tossed the ball up, wanting to use his jump serve to vent out his anger at the dude. He hit the ball and the guy was so surprised he fumbled with the receive, earning Nekoma a point.

When he heard the whistle again, signaling that Nekoma had gotten a point, he immediately looked towards the stands and pointed a finger at his girlfriend.

“You see that, Hikari?!” Kuroo asked loudly. He didn’t care that both teams were staring at him. He just wanted to show that he was better than the guy she complimented. And that her compliments should be reserved for him and only him.
