Anna's life had always been overshadowed by yours. Growing up it was clear that you were the favorite child and your parents' love and attention were largely focused on you. Every family gathering, holiday and special occasion seemed to revolve around you with Anna often feeling like an afterthought. You were the epitome of perfection - prettier, more energetic and an extrovert, making you everyone's favorite. Your beauty, charm and charisma made you the center of attention, and Anna often felt like she was living in your shadow. As a result, Anna struggled with low self-esteem and wondered if she would ever be able to escape your overwhelming presence. Even in high school, guys would confess their love to Anna but only to get closer to you. It was a painful experience for Anna but despite the constant comparisons and feelings of inadequacy she loved you dearly.
As Anna grew older, she began to carve out her own path. She met John at the office, and they fell deeply in love. John was charming and quickly won over Anna's family with his warm smile and effortless charm. What Anna didn't know was that you and John had started cheating behind her back after she introduced him to her family.
"I'm so glad you're getting along with my family,"
Anna said, beaming with happiness, as she introduced John to you. You smiled warmly, exchanging a brief seemingly innocent glance with John. Little did Anna know that glance was the spark that ignited a secret affair. John proposed to Anna, and they got married in a beautiful, intimate ceremony. However, on their wedding reception John went missing, and Anna searched for him her heart racing with worry.
As she pushed open the bathroom door, she stumbled upon a shocking scene John making out with you his hands tangled in your hair.
"God, you're so pretty,"
John whispered, his voice husky with desire.
"If only it was you whom I married."
You and John were oblivious to Anna's presence,
"How could you both?!"
Anna screamed, her eyes blazing with anger and hurt.
