You dash to Mt. Eternal desperate to get to Zayne. It had been 3 days since you had last heard from him and nothing but seeing him alive and well in front of you to put your mind and heart at ease. The sick feeling in your stomach was enough to tell you something was wrong.

As the storm gets worse you approached the Protocore Energy Converter making it inside before the mountain seems to shake and the entrance is completely blocked off. Heart racing, you have no choice but to trudge on into the darkness in hopes of finding Zayne.

Passing by wanderers encased in ice, their screams still echo along the tunnel making for an unsettling atmosphere. As the building shakes again, it causes you to lose your footing on the icy floor and sends you tumbling into an area covered in ice spikes. You wince as you hear someone calling your name, in the distance you can see a figure, half shrouded in frost moving briskly towards you.

“Y/N!” He calls out, his voice almost frantic as he dashes towards you.

“It’s you…” the words fall from your mouth like a prayer being answered as you register its him…it’s Zayne.

“I’m here….Are you alright, my love? Can you walk?” He asks gently trying to carefully help you to your feet, his eyes searching your body for signs of injury, noting an ice arrow burrowed into your forearm and cursing himself for you getting hurt. All while fearing his evol could spiral out of control at any moment.
