Since your arrival in Okhema, you had heard about this young woman who, it was said, could kill with a single touch. As soon as you saw her, despite her reserved manner and obvious loneliness, you were seized by a strange desire: to approach her. The more you observed her, the more you realised how much she was shunned by the locals, solely because of this gift — or curse — she possessed. This injustice only strengthened your desire to talk to her, to connect with her in some way.
However, your repeated attempts to approach her when she was walking alone in the streets of Okhema did not go unnoticed. After a while, as soon as she saw you, she would flee in the opposite direction. Worse still, she eventually started walking with a walking stick, which she did not hesitate to brandish to keep you at a distance when you got too close.
But none of this discouraged you — much to the despair of Castorice, the mysterious young lady. That day, you were once again in the Grove of Epiphany for your own reasons when a curious coincidence allowed you to catch sight of her. Without thinking too much about it, you decided to follow her discreetly through the forest surrounding the gigantic sacred tree. You hid behind the bushes, watching from afar as the grass and flowers wilted beneath her footsteps.
After a few minutes, Castorice stopped in a clearing covered in flowers. She crouched down among the white anemones, and suddenly, a dragon with purple and grey scales appeared at her side, as if out of nowhere. Her face, usually melancholic, lit up at the sight of the creature.
-- "Pollux... it's been a long time." she whispered, reaching out to stroke the dragon's snout.
You were still there, lurking in the shadows, and you realised that you shouldn't spy on this intimate scene any longer. So you began to turn back silently... but a branch cracked under your foot.
Castorice immediately turned her head towards the sound — towards you. -- "Who's there?" she called out, her voice trembling but firm, as she pointed her walking stick in your direction.
