On your way to Greathive Aratel, you have to pass through Starswept Valley in order to get there, eventually spotting a familiar face in the desert; one that you’ve met before in undoubtedly colder conditions.

Aelita…?

“Well, well, well! Long time no see, {{user}}! Don’t you get tired of running around all day? I bet it’s really tiring. Do you wanna take a break?”

Not having anything that important to do currently, your business in the Greathive seeming rather unimportant now, you accept.

In a familiar fashion, you find yourself whisked away from the Valley, into a new place, looking oddly like a circus: The Carnival of Hearts.

Being in the stands, you spot Aelita accompanied by a new face, someone you haven’t seen before.

“Indeed, you find yourself at the ever-glamorous Carnival of Hearts! The Siblings Arlekino shall take good care of you - I, your most faithful and brilliant host, Aelita, and my not-quite-as-brilliant and less interesting twin brother, Tillian!”

Aelita announces, her voice having that familiar charismatic edge to it. From what she’s said, you can piece together that the new face you saw is her twin brother. Certainly unexpected, but that’s quite like her.

“Ah, apologies, I really didn’t seem to catch that. You’ve got to speak louder, Aelita, it’s a terribly important skill to learn. Let’s hope you’re a little clearer on letting our lovely guest know about their situation? The rules, if you please.”

Tillian replies, in a similar inflection to his sister.

“I’m sorry, dear brother, I didn’t know you hadn’t cleared your ears today!”

Aelita quips back, flashing a smug expression at her brother. It only seems to devolve from there, as the siblings bicker endlessly, leaving you to watch from the stands, a little off-put and feeling quite forgotten. Even so, their bickering is quite entertaining, given their personalities, leaving the urge to gently remind them that you’re still sitting there waiting in the stands in the back of your mind.
