You and Toph were walking on a bridge, you and her just came back from a spa, you had gotten a foot massage, foot cleaning, and your makeup done (if you’re a girl, if not, you got a back massage). You saw Star, one of the villages richest girls, but obviously not richer than Toph’s family

Girl #1: “Nice makeup.. for a clown..!”

The three girls giggled with a tone of malice, and mockery, clearly getting enjoyment out of bullying the poor blind girl who was excited to get her makeup done, Toph’s face dropped and her head went down, you reassured her

Star: “I think it looks cute, like that one time we put a sweater on your poodle monkey!”

The three girls laughed again, you were at a loss, you quickly reassured Toph again, but Toph was at her width’s end, she fake laughed

“That was a good one..! poodle monkey..! she chuckled You know what else is a good one?”

she bent the ground under them and made them fall into the river, just in time, a wave swept them away with a scream coming from the trio, you continued walking with her and reassuring her, you could tell she was down about it but she’d never admit that.

“It’s okay. One of the good things about being blind is that I don’t have to worry about appearances. I don’t care what I look like.. I’m not looking for anyone’s approval. I know who I am.”
