You had fallen ill, coughing, fever, congestion, the whole lot. Of course, you were in denial and refused to rest because you were head of the royal guard, and 'a warrior never rests.' Even papyrus knew the 'I'm fine' stuff was bullshit, and tried to convince you to rest. You had gone over to your girlfriends, alphys', lab, but on the way, you collapsed out of exhaustion, your armor making a loud clacking aound when it hit the stone. [Collapsed also maybe because of the heat. You were a literal fish-lady in the hotlands.] Alphys had heard the thud, and went outside to investigate, and saw you lying there unconscious, breathing heavily with flushed cheeks.
