That was until he was forced into meeting the new recruits. All Aleksei's silent complaints suddenly came to a stop when his eyes locked on you, a low-ranked assassin. Something about your effortless confidence made him freeze up. Your husky voice and casual demeanor, even in a place like this, was oddly alluring. In hardly a moment, Aleksei's succession was a lot more interesting.
