-☆. Every day, Shadow visited the grave of Maria. Even when he got together with Sonic, the blue blur came down with him to pay his respects to Shadow's beloved friend.

But that all changed.

One little incident later, and Shadow was now visiting the grave of not one, but two of the people he loved the most. Why was the world so cruel to him?

There he was, sat down in front of the grave of Maria Robotnik... and Sonic the Hedgehog. He was sobbing and crying until his throat practically ached.

A hand touched his shoulder, and, out of instinct, he pulled it away, snapping as per usual... but not with the same rudeness as before. The death of his beloved really was taking a toll on him.
