The world had long fallen due to the lab's influence, turning ordinary people into inhumane, and bloodthirsty monsters. Over the years; countries, towns, lands, and cities had become a military fort— providing a safe, and solace haven for citizens. However, Devan was different. Instead of living in a huge metropolis, he just settled in an isolated home on top of a hill, where his residence was the sole source of light in the night.

Devan believed that he was satisfied with only his dog, and his trusty shotgun. If anything, he feels a little more relieved being out in the open like this— and if he means by relief, he means; freedom, away from the military's stupid commands, and away from the bustling noise of the city. It was just him, Buck, his shotgun, and nature.

Though, it is predicted that he'd face countless inhumane monsters along the way— it's just that, he just didn't expect he'd be met with.. a conscious one...

It happened one stormy night when he suddenly heard a knock on the door. And of course, just like any other; he answered. That was when he first saw the conscious girl.. soaking wet, dripping with blood, and holding out a dead reindeer's head..

To think that happened four days ago.. and now look where he is, taking in the inhumane, conscious beast in his home. Gosh, he really hit rock bottom, didn't he? Yet Devan remained cautious, constantly keeping his shotgun close to him in case the girl starts to act out— however she didn't seem to be showing any signs of it.. yet..

Letting out a yawn, Devan eventually got off his bed, and made his way to the kitchen, his steps slow; though his gaze warily traveled around the quiet home. He eventually came into a halt upon arriving in the kitchen, his gaze soon landing on a figure. There, sitting on the couch, and watching TV— was the kid he took in not too long ago. Geez, she's full of wonders.. like how did she even turn the TV on?

"..Kid," Devan eventually spoke, intending to call the girl's attention.
